Billy Joel "Piano Man" - An American Icon

Each of us have those songs, that take us back and give us that feeling of "days gone by!"

Of happy times!

I was blessing to see Billy Joel in 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona with my brother, Walker and his wife, Dianne and my mother, Rose. What a concert.

And I love Billy's Story! His story is one of Hope.

Billy was featured on CBS this morning and is also one of the 5 extraordinary artists Americans celebrated on Sunday, December 8th, 2013.

Recipients honored at the 36th annual national celebration of the arts were: opera singer Martina Arroyo; pianist, keyboardist, bandleader and composer Herbie Hancock; pianist, singer and songwriter Billy Joel; actress Shirley MacLaine; and musician and songwriter Carlos Santana.

The Kennedy Center Honors provide recognition to living individuals who throughout their lifetimes have made significant contributions to American culture through the performing arts. The primary criterion is excellence, and artistic achievement in dance, music, theater, opera, motion pictures, and television is considered.

The gala will be broadcast on CBS on December 29, 2013 at 9:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT

In San Francisco - Heading Home to Arizona

It is a very surreal moment as I pull out of San Francisco this morning and head for Mesa, Arizona,

Today marks 1 week shy of 10 months from the day I left Mesa, AZ heading east on the Freedom Ride to promote my company, DesignWraps Brands, as well as inspiring Hope in Americans.

What a journey it has been.

I will be blogging more as I take this time during the Holidays to spend time with my mom, Rose Everson, my brother, Walker and his wife Dianne and their family and meet up with friends.

Riding the Pacific Coast

September 2013

After spending 3 exciting weeks in Southern California, 

I am heading up the coast go San Francisco to attend a fabric show.

Picking new fabrics for DesignWraps Brands is always one of my favorite moments each year.

We will be offering new colors in our Wraps of Hope line.
And RidersWraps will be offering new styles also.

The Freedom Glide is packed and ready. So many changes to her.

She is not just another pretty face, she is a beast, thanks to Bassani Exhaust, Fueling Performance Parts and Legend Suspensions.

She is, most certainly, my Steel Horse.

I will post more later on her Performance Modifications.

It is not often that I find a product that I instantly fall in love with.




With all that we are exposed to each day, I believe we become desensitized to the awesome, the WOW, those "creations of art" that when you look at them, they make you smile!

I do hope you are as delighted with the creations of Desert Steel as I am,

And of course, they are all, "Made in America!"

I am finding that more people are taking that moment to flip over the item or the tag, looking for the "Made in America."

Simply put, as consumers, we care!

The Vision Part 1

Today is the Sabbath and I am blessed to be in Loveland, Colorado enjoying the hospitality of my long-time friend, LeAnn Illingworth. This morning we will attend church at Resurrection Fellowship, a church we have attended together for over 20 years.

These are simple joys that can not be purchased or created at will.

They just are and I look at these moments with gratitude.

I can truly say that on my journey, I embrace the days with challenges knowing that God is bringing me to another level. If you ask, OK God, what is the lesson today?" He WILL answer. The key is to listen for the answer and be open to His possibilities. You will be amazed, I promise. And you can hear me say with a smile, "There's your sign."

I am consumed. There is a tension between what is real at this moment and what the possibilities are. It is the state that I stay in, quite honestly.

To focus on what's around you will diminish your ability to focus on what's before you.

What is before me is a vision that God gave me over 23 years ago.

He knew where this life would take me, when my lessons would finally take hold and when I would be ready to step into these shoes He has placed on my path for me.

A very wise man gifted me with a story yesterday that once again opened my eyes to the possibilities that the Lord places in front of me, every day.

I will end with this powerful rendition of the story of Columbus. As you read each word, close your eyes, and image Columbus as he stood on the deck of that ship. Feel what he was feeling. And taste the success he must have tasted as the bird was spotted.

Then pray for God to show you YOUR vision! And be open.......

Although this video is 44 minutes long, it is worth the time you will take to watch it.

This man is a hero.

He lived his life with a purpose that he knew was his reason for being on this earth.

And he died with No Regrets.

Very inspiring.

When you find your purpose be being, and step into it, you will find that sweet spot and your reason for living.

Sunday Surprises

This morning, after listening to an extremely violent storm all night, I woke to a beautiful day, a day truly made for riding.

After the first 100 miles, I pulled into to gas up at a Ayerco Gas Station. Now the reason I am mentioning the station is because, I have never pulled into this brand of gas station before.

But today I did.

I have found there are no chance meetings in life. Every step I take is planned by God.

2 members of the Lone Wolf No Club out of Hannibal, MO were waiting to meet me as I gased up in Hannibal.

Rodney and Tom, two of the most interesting men I have met, have a true heart for helping.

Their love for children, motorcycles, cars and America came through in everything they talked about.

Carl, pictured on the right, has an extreme passion for purchasing American Made. His resemblance to Elvis is uncanny. They could be related.

Americans who truly love our Bill of Rights and have a heart for their country.

Meeting Rodney, Tom and Carl was my sweet moment for this Sunday.

What a great problem to have.

110th Harley-Davidson Anniversary

Like salmon coming home to spawn, Harley-Davidson Riders rode into Milwaukee from all corners of the globe to take part in the celebration over the Labor Day Week-end of 2013?

How many lives have been touched and how many businesses have been launched because of two men and what began in a two-car garage over 110 years ago.

Celebrating 110 years of a brand that is so front and center in the lives of 10`s of 1000`s of motorcycle riders from all over the globe was a true honor.

The best times are always had when you are meeting up with old friends and making new ones.

I could not have predicted or scripted the wonderful last few days on my visit to Milwaukee to take part in the celebration of the 110th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson.

10's of 1000's of Harley Davidson riders journeyed from all corners of the world.

I am not the same women that rode out of Mesa, AZ on Feb 2nd, 2013.

This ride has transformed.

This morning, I am attending church at Ressurection Fellowship in Loveland, Colorado, the same church that I attended 22 years ago when I first made my decision

This past Friday, I was blessed

I'm a nobody giving knowledge about a somebody who can change your life.

If you touch me it needs to come back out of me.

When God touches me, it's not just for me, it's so I can be a blessing
It is like the flow in and out
The blessings flow in, so that the blessings may flow out.

The women that I have met this week have been unbelievable, remarkable women. Blessings, every one .

And then I walked into church this morning. I rode here with my friend, Leann, a women that I have been friends with for over 20 years. Entering the front door, I felt at home. Comfortable, familiar surroundings put me right at ease. This place felt safe to me. As we sat in the rear. Taking an entire row gave us the space to strip off the leathers, park them at the end and join in the praise and worship.

The joy in my heart was complete as Arty joined us. Her eyes sparkled as she smiled as she gave me a tight hug. Arty, Leann and I have been friends for over 20 years ago.

20 years ago, we were all in this very place, attending service with our husbands. Clyde & Arty, Jim & Leann and Phil & Joan.

6 months and 2 days ago, I launched on my Glory US-A Freedom Tour. You might have met me during one of the 24,000 miles that I have ridden over these 6 months that has taken me on the trip of a lifetime.

If you have, I thank you and want you to know that I feel privileged to have met you.

And if you have not, I am heading your direction.

I am very blessed to be given this gig, as many have called my ride.

Riding a motorcycle for 36 months throughout the United States and Canada has always been about "the people."

Living, breathing human beings with the same kind of hopes and dreams that I have.

"We hold these truths to be self evident! Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

We all have the same inalienable rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

That which is inalienable cannot be bought, sold, or transferred from one individual to another.

In other words, the personal rights to life and liberty guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States are inalienable.

The pursuit of a better tomorrow is something we all desire.

If you stop, wait and listen, I know you will hear the voice, just as I did.

(In a very soft whisper I heard.) Be still, and know, that I am God.

This ride has changed me as a woman, has formed me into a much kinder human being and has inspired me to become a better American, not just for other Americans, but for all those in the world whom God blesses me by meeting them, and listening to their story.



Glory US-A Freedom Ride.

It's all about you, AND it's all about me.

Riding into Salt Lake City yesterday afternoon was a very spiritual experience.

I came to Salt Lake to meet my friend, Mary Lou Tastad, to experience an event and talk about our Bill of Rights and our Declaration of Independence.

I have been led here. And I know something profound is about to happen.

I will write more tomorrow about what I experience today.

Freedom, Family & A Way of Life - Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson

Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson

Family is the one word I would use to describe the staff at Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson.

As I rode up on the Freedom Glide on June 15th, it was the Owner & Founder, Vinny and Marina, the Marketing Manager who greeted me at the front door.

I had not seen Vinny in over 15 years. What a pleasant surprise!

Jay, the GM was just inside the door as I walked in, visiting with customers and it didn't take long for Kathy, the owner of Rocky Mountain Harley to appear. Again, a very pleasant surprise.

What I was to find out was this was business as usual at Rocky Mountain Harley Davidson.

It is all about family, and freedom and A Way of Life.

Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson can trace their roots back to 1979 when they opened their doors in their first 9000 sq ft shop.

Located just off of Sante Fe Drive and I-470, this dealership enjoys beautiful mountain views to the south as well as the west.

While visiting Rocky Mountain on June 15th, I spent my time exploring the 100's of old memorabilia in the dealership, meeting up with old friends and making a few new ones.

A Way of Life is how the entire staff believes.

I don't know anyone who doesn't love the legendary Skull & Wings Logo that has been around for as long as Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson.

I know I sure do!

And a complete tour of the facility by Jay and Marina.

What can I say! I am a fan for life!
